ABOUT AN ORDINARY MAN
Journey of One
On life's journey we walk alone. We travel our own unique path, one never to be replicated, one which is not truly under our control. If we are to live a good life, one of meaning and purpose, we must live the life for which we are destined, distinctly different from the life's we convince ourselves we'd like to lead.
If we listen, we will lead a good life. We'll hear the faintest of callings. One which begins with a distant beacon, reaching our ears softly, like a light summer breeze, rolling through the mountains life challenges us to climb.
If wise enough, we'll travel in lure toward the whisper of the universe. Talking singular steps which steady and self-assure as the once distant beacon builds to a deafening roar.

If we answer the call for which only we are destined, we will live well.
We will leave this life fulfilled, able to welcome life's end like we welcome a waning sun after a day of proportionate magnitude.

As an ordinary man, I am no exception to the universal truth of life.
I have a job, a family, a list of traditional responsibilities which demand my daily efforts. But I have been called to inspire. Called to share the wisest of our words, called to explore our past to better understand our present. Called to make sense of the world, to unravel universal truth to the best of my ability through the written word.

So i will write. In the mornings before the sun breaks day and through the night till the world falls silent. I will write if a million shall read, I will write if none shall skim a line. I will follow my calling with reason because of belief.
And I do hope you shall join for the ride.
Thank you for your support,
- An Ordinary Man
